Long (full description · 130 words)

Alpha Dock LTD is a UK-registered hardware brand building docking stations for hybrid offices and hot-desk setups. Founded in October 2024 by Abdullah Arif and headquartered in London. Their first product, AlphaDock CL1, is a Thunderbolt 5 docking station with 11 ports, triple 4K display output at 30Hz, 100W power delivery, and a 15W Qi2 wireless charging pad integrated into the aluminium top. The dock launched on Kickstarter in 2025 with a 3D-printed prototype and failed to fund. Alpha Dock spent the following year producing a tooled aluminium production unit, booking certifications (UKCA, CE, RoHS, WEEE, Qi2), signing a manufacturing partnership in China, and registering UK trademarks. The brand pivoted away from the Mac creator market — confirmed by direct user feedback during 2026 testing — and toward Windows hybrid workers, hot-desk offices, and small business IT. Pre-orders opened at £99 Super Early Bird ahead of a Q4 2026 Kickstarter relaunch.

Founder quotes

Free to use in coverage. Attribute to Abdullah Arif, Founder of Alpha Dock LTD.

“I started Alpha Dock after one too many mornings spent untangling cables at a hot-desk. Every dock I tried was either oversized, ugly, or sold by a brand with no UK presence. I wanted something an IT manager could deploy across a team without thinking about it, and something a hybrid worker would actually want on the desk at home. CL1 is built for that — not for the people making YouTube videos about it.”

“The first Kickstarter failed because we tried to validate a 3D-printed prototype. We spent the next year doing what should have been done first — production tooling, certifications, a manufacturing agreement. The relaunch shows the real product.”

“We capped CL1 at 4K @ 30Hz on purpose. It enables triple-monitor office productivity reliably. If you need 60Hz for video editing or gaming, this isn't your dock. Honest spec disclosure beats spec-sheet arms races.”

“Hybrid work made docking stations relevant again. Most options on the market are plastic boxes priced £200–£320 that ship a separate wireless puck. We integrated Qi2 directly into the aluminium top — one device, one cable, one fewer accessory cluttering the desk.”
