About AlphaDock.
Alpha Dock LTD is a UK-registered hardware company building docking stations for hybrid work. Founded by Abdullah Arif in October 2024. Headquartered in London. Manufactured in China through a direct factory partnership — metal-work specialists handling the aluminium shell, component sourcing, assembly, and logistics. No middle layer, no outside investors.
Our story.
CL1 took two years to design from first sketch to production-tooled aluminium unit. We ran a Kickstarter in January 2025 with a 3D-printed prototype and failed to fund. Instead of giving up, we spent the year doing what should have been done before the first campaign — three rounds of mold revisions, a tested PCB, a manufacturing agreement signed, certification booked, and a UK trademark filed.
The relaunched Kickstarter shows the actual aluminium production unit. That's the version you'll receive.
Why docking stations.
Hybrid work made docking stations relevant again. Most options on the market are plastic boxes priced £200–320 that don't solve the wireless-charging problem. We're building the dock we wanted on our own desks first, then scaling it for B2B office rollouts.
What's next.
Kickstarter delivers in late 2026. Amazon UK + US opens Q1 2027. CL2 is on the roadmap with 4K @ 60Hz output, but we're not telegraphing dates until we've shipped CL1.
From sketch to production

Phase 2
Technical Schematics
PCB layout, power delivery routing, multi-monitor signal paths, thermal modelling. Every port mapped before the first physical build.
Phase 3
3D Design
CAD iterations on the aluminium shell — port cutouts, internal mounting, airflow, weight distribution. Wireless pad seated into the top surface.
Phase 4
Prototyping
3D-printed enclosures over an assembled PCB. Multi-monitor stability, wireless charging, thermal performance under load. Three rounds of refinement.
Phase 5
Final Production Unit
Tooled aluminium enclosure, optimised PCB, branded LED, factory-assembled. Tested for compatibility, durability, and long-term performance. This is the unit on the relaunch.

Abdullah Arif
Engineer turned hardware founder. Twelve years in technology, two of them spent designing CL1 from a frustration with desk clutter into a tooled aluminium production unit. Solo on the UK side — design, marketing, sales, compliance, distribution. Direct factory partnership in China handles metalwork, sourcing, assembly, and logistics.
After failing to fund the first Kickstarter, spent the year fixing what was actually wrong. Now relaunching with the real product, real registrations, and the same person answering every email.
